Presentation formats

symposium

Within a 90-minute symposium, several scientists give a short presentation (15 to 20 minutes) about their work. A symposium consists of a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 6 lectures and is submitted in its entirety by one (research) group. This group itself chooses a chairman for the symposium.

All abstracts for a symposium (max 1 x A4) are submitted according to a fixed format. All parts of this form must be completed. The abstracts contain the following parts:

  • Title
  • Overview symposium (background, methods, results and conclusion)
  • Chair

In addition to the individual abstracts, a summary of the entire symposium will be submitted.

Oral presentation

An oral presentation is submitted by an individual (scientist) who has a short talk (between 15 and 20 minutes) about his/her work. The organization compiles symposia on the basis of the titles and the content of the abstracts. These 'combined' symposia consist of a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 6 lectures and will be chaired by a chairperson appointed by the organization.
